i grew up in the methodist church. i learned to sing and play music in that church. the pastor i remember growing up with was brother harris. real sweet dude. from what i can recall about this bible, that i’ve had since i was about 6, it was given to me after attending convocation class one summer. i remember brother harris trying to make a point about need jesus to walk a straight line or something- that if we tried to draw a straight line without using a straight edge of some sort, we’d be unable to do so. i can’t tell you how many times i tried proving him wrong attempting to make those straight lines without an edge. bless my heart. but i do think i was able to do it. anyway, this was the bible we got at the end of all that. it must mean something to me because i’ve held onto it all this time. still don’t know what i think about jesus, but i’ve never lost faith in god.
